My name is Sofia (pronouns she/hers), I am a qualified Counsellor and a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist in training. My approach is Integrative which means that I draw on a range of therapeutic thinking and models such as Humanistic, Gestalt, Transpersonal, Psychodynamic, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other. Also, my foundation was on Art Psychotherapy which gave me the ability to use tools such as Sandtray, Clay, Painting, Drawing, Music and other in my work, if that is something you would be interest to experiment with.
Part of my training has been Child and Adolescent orientated, which gave me the additional skills needed to work with children, adolescent and young adults. It also gave more depth to my work with adults.
Furthermore, as a Cyber Therapist I have undertaken extensive training in order to offer Online Therapy and Phone Therapy.
My style is open and respectful, and I hold a space for my clients where they are heard and where they may explore any issues they bring, at a pace that is comfortable for them. And as a strong believer in race, culture, gender, sexuality and relationship diversity and equality, I welcome people of all ages and backgrounds in my practice.
I am happy to work with you in English or in Greek.
Since qualifying as a Counsellor, I have worked with children, teenagers, parents, teachers and adults and I have experience working with various issues such as anxiety, depression, bullying, self-harm, gender, self-esteem, domestic violence trauma and other.
I am also volunteering as much as possible in local organisations.
